About NSS at VAMCC
The National Service Scheme at L.R. Valia Arts and P.R. Mehta Commerce College runs four active units with over 300 enrolled student volunteers. NSS provides students the opportunity to serve the community while building leadership, teamwork, and civic responsibility.

- NSS Unit 03 — 51 girls and 249 boys registered in 2025-26

NSS volunteers and NCC Airforce/Naval cadets participated in International Yoga Day activities on campus.

Constitution Remembrance Program
Essay competition organized by NSS. Around 40 student participants recorded in the annual report.

Tree Plantation
NSS, Airforce NCC and Naval NCC jointly organized a tree plantation and campus greenery activity. 300+ participants.

Skill Development Awareness
KCG Finishing School awareness program for B.A. / B.Com Semester 5 students, coordinated with NSS.

NSS Orientation Program
First-year NSS enrolled students attended orientation with guidance on NSS purpose, civic duty and public service.

Regular NSS Activities
Campus cleanliness, blood donation awareness, AIDS awareness, environment care, women empowerment programs, village surveys, and national festival celebrations conducted throughout the year.

Environment & Health
Plantation drives, Ayurvedic garden maintenance, environment care, and health awareness campaigns are regular features of the NSS calendar.
